On our end Jonas would offer to give a short introduction into our switch-testing setup, which builds around 100 tests around BISDN Linux for L2 and L3. As there is a considerable overlap between the supported hardware platforms, we can also offer to run some tests on our platforms. Of course, the switch configuration between BISDN Linux (i.e. pure Linux) and Sonic differs, so there is code to be modified. But maybe the general ideas can inspire.

So, this is a request for a 20 minute slot during the upcoming call April 16.

To test your own changes:

Pull from the master-ci-pipeline branch

Add your changes locally

Update the .gitlab-ci.yml configuration as needed (e.g., enable/disable features)

Push your changes to trigger a new build

Note: For a faster build process the unit tests can be disabled for debugging setups.

Please feel free to test the images and validate the runner setup. If you encounter any issues, kindly report them via the project issue tracker.
