ALASCA Tech-Talk #33 "Running Yaook on internal network with bonded interfaces to double the bandwidth: Lessons learned"
Dear ALASCA Community, we are happy to invite you to our February Tech-Talk on 27th February 2026, 11 am. This time, you can look forward to the following topic and speakers: Running Yaook on internal network with bonded interfaces to double the bandwidth: Lessons learned *Martin Pilka (CEO) & Matus Jenca (Software Engineer), dNation *Any cluster is only as fast and reliable as its underlying network infrastructure. Amount of data processed is ever growing, especially with recent development of AI. To achieve reasonable processing speed, it is crucial to have fast both network and storage. In this talk we share our experience from building fast network foundation for Yaook cluster using common (not InfiniBand) switches/cabling where each node is connected to two switches. We name challenges we faced, describe how we solved them and summarize lessons learned. We demonstrate our approach on live demo, demonstrating both improved network speed and redundancy. Attached to this e-mail, we are also sending you the invite for your calendars. Please feel free to share it with whomever might be interested in this Tech-Talk. Have a nice weekend and see you soon, Franziska __ *ALASCA - Verband für betriebsfähige, offene Cloud-Infrastrukturen e.V.* c/o Cloud&Heat Technologies GmbH Königsbrücker Straße 96 | 01099 Dresden +49 351 479 367 00 hello@alasca.cloud <mailto:hello@alasca.cloud> | https://alasca.cloud/ /Let's learn.
