*ALASCA Tech-Talk #36: **Continiously monitor (your) IX peering LANs
*/Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) are platforms where networks meet. The
exchange point must be reliable to ensure traffic flows smoothly between
peers. To enhance the reliability of the peering LAN, monitoring is
essential. IXpect addresses this need by continuously monitoring
Broadcast, Unicast, and Multicast (BUM) traffic within the peering LAN.
By detecting packets that are either unexpected or faulty, IXpect
notifies IXP administrators, allowing them to work with the
administrator of the misconfigured network to resolve the issue. This
talk will explain how IXpect works and how you can use it even if you
are not running an IXP./
We can't wait to talk tech with you!
Greetings
Helena from ALASCA
